WorkKeys^® Curricula Publishers Program

As the WorkKeys^® system has grown in popularity among educators, employers, and trainers, increasing numbers of organizations are providing training resources linked to the system. To ensure the integrity of the WorkKeys system and to provide customers with helpful information about available courseware, ACT has established the WorkKeys Curricula Publishers Program. A key feature of the program is a rigorous review of participating publishers’ curricula by ACT to determine whether the curricula meet ACT’s standards for quality.

Publishers committed to having ACT address the quality of their training materials as participants in this program are designated Level I publishers by ACT. The Level I publishers’ courses that meet ACT’s standards for quality are termed compliant courses and are listed as such on this site. Some publishers offer training resources for skill levels below those measured by the WorkKeys assessments; ACT does not determine compliance for these courses.

By participating in the program, publishers can demonstrate their:

• commitment to the quality of their training materials by having ACT staff conduct rigorous evaluations of their materials and by correcting any identified deficiencies
• desire to work closely with ACT staff to ensure that their materials remain current and compatible with the WorkKeys system
• support of the WorkKeys system and desire to be a part of its long-term success
• commitment to continued review and improvement of their programs

The significant cost to ACT for ensuring the quality of the publishers’ materials and their fit to the WorkKeys system is offset by the participating publishers, who allocate a portion of their earnings from the WorkKeys-related training materials to ACT. ACT works with these publishers to keep them prepared for new system developments well in advance of their release.

Level I Publishers

KeyTrain™ KeyTrain is a comprehensive training curriculum designed specifically for the WorkKeys job skills, with 20,000 pages of interactive materials covering all of the WorkKeys skills. Additional features include pre-WorkKeys Beginning Skills and Spanish KeyTrain. KeyTrain offers a sophisticated WorkKeys-specific management system that integrates the Job Profiles Database. A product of Thinking Media, KeyTrain is affordably priced in Internet, CD-ROM, and print versions. KeyTrain courses currently meeting ACT standards

WIN WIN for WorkKeys is designed to deliver skill-based training to improve workplace skills for workforce development, adult education, and basic skills training for citizens in the workforce and students entering the workforce across the globe. The WIN for WorkKeys courseware includes over 1,200 hours and more than 22,000 pages of print and electronic instructional curriculum for WorkKeys assessment preparation. The curriculum includes 20+ hours of instructional material for all 58 levels of WorkKeys and pre-WorkKeys skills with Web-delivered Spanish translation and Natural Voice technology. The WIN for WorkKeys courseware is available in print, LAN, and Internet delivery options. WIN for WorkKeys insures concept mastery, not just test preparation.
